Pig Game

A personal web development project based on the Pig game first described in 1945.

Background

Pig is a dice game first described by John Scarne. In this game, players take turns rolling a die. Their score adds up as they roll numbers 2-6 but if a 1 is rolled, your turn is over, and your score resets. In this version, it's a two-player game where players roll the die and can hold their score. The player that reaches 100 first, wins the game.

Why Pig?

This is a personal project I created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In the midst of learning JavaScript, I wanted to make a digital version of a board game or a dice-rolling game. I found Pig and chose to make a copycat version of it because of its simple and straightforward rules.
